On November 7, 2018, Valeria Grishechkina, Global Fund Portfolio Manager of Eastern Europe and Central Asia Team addressed a special letter to Arsen Torosyan, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia to express her concern over the increasing difficult working environment created around New Generation Humanitarian NGO and that this situation may hinder NGNGO’s crucial contribution to the fight against HIV and AIDS in Armenia as one of the principal and key NGOs in Armenia delivering HIV prevention, including HIV testing, and has so far demonstrated excellent performance. She also stressed in her letter that it would be essential that a safe, respectful and peaceful environment be ensured so that the New Generation Humanitarian NGO can continue to provide HIV prevention activities without facing any risks.
