BJR Staff arrived in Yerevan from Germany.

On July 22, 2018, at the invitation of ''New Generation'' Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization (hereinafter referred to as NGNGO), the staff of the Bavarian Youth Council (hereinafter referred to as BJR Staff) arrived in Yerevan from Germany. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the existing youth issues and needs in Armenia, to share experiences and find ways of cooperation.

 

For guests visiting Armenia, a number of meetings, discussions and cognitive visits have been pre-arranged by the NGNGO.

On July 23, 2018, the BJR staff was hosted at the NGNGO office; they got acquainted with NGNGO's current and implemented programs and activities. The representatives of both organizations voiced their concerns, presented their proposals and outlined the framework for further cooperation.

In the afternoon, the guests first had meeting-discussion with the representatives of the Armenia's ''Heinrich Boyle'' Foundation of the South Caucasus and then with the representatives of German Embassy in Armenia.

On July 24, 2018, a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and Museum was organized for guests where they laid flowers and paid tribute to the memory of 1.5 million innocent victims of Armenian Genocide.

In the second half of the day a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia Kristine Asatryan, Head of Youth Policy Department Tamara Torosyan, ''New Generation'' Humanitarian NGO and BJR Staff. The main purpose of the meeting was to involve both NGOs and state bodies in solving youth problems.

The meeting with representatives of the Armenian Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs was followed by a meeting with youth NGOs operating in Armenia. During this meeting representatives of NGOs presented to the guests the main problems and constraints encountered in the Republic of Armenia. BJR staff representatives presented their experiences in Bavaria and offered solutions to problems.

On July 25, 2018, a cognitive visit to Khor Virap monastic complex was launched. Then the guests returned to Yerevan, visited the Parajanov House-Museum and Matenadaran.

On July 26, 2018, representatives of the NGNGO and BJR visited Sevanavank, and then NGNGO organized a reception on the shores of Lake Sevan. Next, a visit to Haghartsin monastic complex in Tavush province of Armenia took place.

At the end of the day the BJR staff was again hosted at the NGNGO office, where a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Organizations, the President of the NGNGO Sergey Gabrielyan and the President of the Youth Council of the Bavarian District Mathias Fack.

Within the framework of the Memorandum 3 members of the NGNGO Staff will visit the Federal Republic of Germany to strengthen already established cooperation and get acquainted with Germany's experience.
