At 14:30, July 10, 2018, meeting discussion with National Assembly member Vahe Enfiajyan was held by “United Leaders’ Palace” Youth NGO on the topic of “The Role of Young People in the Political Field” at the RA National Assembly.
Lawyer of “New Generation” Humanitarian NGO, Anahit Mkrtchyan also took part in the meeting. The latter drew the parliamentary member’s attention to the list of offensive and discriminatory terms in RA laws mentioning that these terms had long come out of usage and were in conflict with international standards..jpg)
In answer to MP Vahe Enfiajyan’s question if there were other conceptual issues except those related to terminology, lawyer Anahit Mkrtchyan noted several issues, namely the sub-clause a) of 15 clause, Article 1, Annex 1, 2013 February 7 N06 decision made by RA minister of Healthcare that states “homo-addictedness” as permanent contra-indication for blood donation; RA law on “Ensuring Equality of Rights” which does not provide sexual orientation and gender identity among the bases of discrimination and many other issues.
Considering the specificity and certainty of the raised issues, M.P. Vahe Enfiajyan offered to have another meeting to discuss these matters and relevant recommendations with a group of experts..jpg)
