On June 6, 2018 meeting-discussion was held at New Generation Humanitarian NGO with the participation of representatives of international organizations, local institutions and organizations dealing with the issues of MSM, trans people, PWIDs and sex workers.
The goal of the meeting was to discuss the Global Fund’s Community, Rights and Gender Technical Assistance Program which is aimed at the development of plans to mitigate the impact of legal barriers for MSM, trans people, sex workers and people who inject drugs in Armenia on access to HIV-related services and supporting meaningful and inclusive engagement of the community representatives in the development of that plan.
The participants of the meeting discussed the procedure to apply for the program, spoke about the community institutions and the involvement of the community in CCM, the importance of transparent election processes as well as expressed their views and positions on the legal gaps existing in the country and all the concerns and issues relating which technical assistance could be expected.
