On April 2-4, 2019, ActivEast School took place in Istanbul.
The school included a training on informational campaigns and workshop on developing regional and national campaigns based on the experience of “Chase the virus, not people” campaign.
Representatives of the countries implementing Right to Health Regional Project: Armenia, Belarus, North Macedonia, Moldova, took part in the School. Ukraine and Russia were also invited to participate in the School to share the experiences of their countries.
Right to Health Project Coordinator Alina Mirzoyan, Project assistant Hmayak Avetisyan, as well as community representative and activist Edgar Melkonyan took part in the school as representatives of New Generation Humanitarian NGO implementing the regional project in Armenia.
In an active work environment, participants designed and developed both national and regional campaigns aimed at protecting the health and interests of gay men, other MSM, and trans* people.
