ANNUAL MASS MEDIA AWARD CONTEST

“New Generation” Humanitarian NGO announces a contest of “Diversity and Equality” annual Mass Media Award for the best media content on LGBTI related issues.

The goal of the contest is to unite the potential of Mass Media representative of Yerevan and RA provinces in the creation of anti-discriminatory and hate-free media content on LGBTI related issues and reduction of stereotypes against LGBTI people in the society.

Mass Media representatives of Yerevan and RA provinces and independent journalists can participate in the contest.

Contest participation and selection criteria:

  • TV, radio shows, press releases, printed or online articles on  LGBTI related issues (covered correctly and impartially), made within the period of January 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018 shall be submitted for the contest
  • Journalistic ethics and copyright approach shall be observed in the submitted materials.
  • The media content shall be open to public.
  • The selected topic/subject of the media content shall contain exhaustive and comprehensive information on the issue.
  • The materials shall be in Armenian (with an English version - optional)

The contest jury of field specialists and mass media experts will select the 3 best media contents. The author of the top first media content will be awarded AMD 100,000. The 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded with incentive prizes. 

To participate in the contest you must fill in the APPLICATION-FORM and submit it together with the media content in a closed envelope to “New Generation” Humanitarian NGO office (address: apt. 4, 41 Tumanyan st., Yerevan) or send it to ngngocoordinator@gmail.com email address, writing “Mass Media Contest” in the subject line.
