The COVID-19 has shown an alarming growth within these weeks, reaching 136 from 1 case in 2-3 weeks (as of 20.03.2020).
Our organization realizes the feeling of being responsible especially for vulnerable groups of the society.
On March 16th, 2020 Armenia declared state of emergency over coronavirus outbreak until April 14th, 2020. Due to the announcement many stayed home. Elderly people and people with special needs (including people living with HIV) became more vulnerable due to the lack of possibility to do online shopping and due to their financial situation.
Taking into consideration the above mentioned there is an urgent need to provide a support to those in need who are staying in their homes and cannot afford themselves to buy enough food and other necessary stuff until.
With the collected money we will support the national program of Armenia to help those in need by distributing the purchased food and other necessary stuff to elderly people and people with special needs.
Monthly food and other needs cover in costs is 12,276 AMD (25.00 USD) per family. With the collected money we intend to support 400 families.
