On July 30, 2019, training- discussion on the Role of Volunteers on the Response to HIV was held by the trained volunteers during LIFE 9 training of activists on Leadership and Volunteering.
The goal of the training-discussions was to promote volunteers’ involvement in response to HIV through peer-to-peer education.
Trained activists Emil Avetisyan and Mihran Osipov shared their knowledge acquired at LIFE 9 training to representatives of For Strong Future NGO, presented the role of volunteers in response to HIV, types and importance of Voluntary Work, the specificities of outreach work, information on HIV and AIDS Prevention, the key populations of the National Program, volunteer participation, inclusion of volunteers as beneficiaries, leaders and partners in the program, methods and approaches to HIV-related service provision.
The training included active discussions, interactive games and exercises and video screenings.
The training was held by New Generation Humanitarian NGO within the framework of Right to Health project implemented with the financial support of Eurasian Coalition on Male Health from the funds of The Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria
